Hello and welcome!
I’m a crime fiction writer based in the beautiful countryside of North Devon, UK. While my love for reading has been a lifelong passion, it wasn’t until later in life that I had the opportunity – and the courage – to start writing my own stories.
I’ve now published three crime novels; ‘Never Forget, Never Forgive’, ‘Never Let Her Go’, and ‘Never Really Knew You’, all featuring private detective Beatrice Styles. Set in Lincolnshire, these mysteries invite readers to follow Beatrice’s investigations step by step, piecing together clues alongside her in classic whodunnit style.
Before turning to writing, I worked as a secondary school maths teacher and a civil servant. I’m married and have an adult daughter. When I’m not writing, you’ll find me walking in the Devon countryside, painting, sewing, or (of course) with my nose in a good book. I enjoy reading across genres, but crime fiction – from the sharp logic of Conan Doyle to today’s contemporary thrillers – has always had a special place in my heart.
